tire prices?

Last summer when oil was out of sight tire prices were close behind. I have been need'n a new set of 18.4-34s for about two years but just hated to spend the money. This morning comeing back from feeding I kept hearing somthing and found out it was Ca spirt'n out the little crack in one of the side walls I had been watch'n for a while. Any way to the point, don't see a need to just get one, I will be going in a circle this spring working ground if I do. Have prices fallen any with the price of oil down or is it one of them deals where we paid it last year and they tire folks feel we can keep paying it? Last year I got a quote for Field and Roads for $1,100, put on and pumped full. Would that be high or low today?

Just wanting to get an idea of what I am going to hear when I go looking tomarro after work. Gonna be hard to sleep today I think.

Thanks for your time.

Try Tucker Tire.I bought some implement tires with tubes for some very good prices. It was cheaper to buy from them and pay the freight costs then get them locally.

I just gave $450 ea for a pair of Goodyear (Titan) 16.9-28's for a D17. Front's were $65 for Firestone's. If you got the $, do it now. Oil's going back up with the nnalert restoring the off shore drilling ban.

Got a new no name 18.4x38 radial put on a week ago. They sold it to be at cost since it had been on a combine for a week. $749 was their cost. Whole thing, tire, tube, labor and trip cost me $941. That was for one,not a pair. Had a pair of them put on 8 years ago for $1100.

bought a 18.4 by 38 Goodyear radial last year mounted for $1000, I have been hearing prices are still holding high.

Priced a pair of 16.9 x 34 from two sources. Base price for tires were $499 NIC tubes & mounting. Dealer said tire manufacture had a backlog at Deere where they had a large number of tractors made but were waiting on rear tires. I need to replace two sets of tires for JD 4020 and AC 175 but might wait a while. One would think with economy & new car sales down that prices would drop.
