O/T March weather

The old saying goes in like a lion out like a lamb or in like a lamb and out like a lion. So how has it been where you are. I know here it has been in like a lamb and it sure is going out like a lion. Been storming most of the day here and they are calling for 6-12 inches of snow later tonight. Sure hope April doesn't got as ruff as March has been

In South Central Kansas we have two inches of ice covering everything with six inches of snow/slush on top of that. Electric lines are down everywhere. My yard is covered with tree limbs, I will probably lose most of my trees. The roof of my machine shed fell in. Western Kansas is supposed to set a new record for snowfall. Cold nasty weather. I am surviving thanks to my trusty 1958 Minneapolis Moline GB running the generator.

I guess you are getting what passed through the panhandle yesterday. It was 55 degrees here today so most of it is gone now. I think Amarillo got it much worse than we did. They said Dalhart had 12 ft. drifts this morning. Tomorrow we are suppose to be 76 degrees with abundant sunshine and let not forget the wind.

Stay warm, spring is coming.

63 today here in NY, snow on the ground in some spots, lots of mud. 40s on Monday with rain and snow showers. Did see a guy plowing today on dryier land. j

The weather has been nice, cool, dry, borderline t-shirt weather, ground is drying out quickly, just the usual wet areas in the fields, taking longer, but if it keeps up, field work could start in a week or 2, like it did last year. I'm hoping this will keep up, to provide some time to drag in some logs, there is about 100 of various size hard wood down from that darned ice storm in Dec. Mosquitos were out yesterday, and hungry at dusk, got some things in the yard that hold water, time to mitigate those

We've been known to get those nor'easters this time of year, like the one in March of '93, can't believe the weather out in the midwest, some serious temperature swings etc., blizzard, but that cold air that dips down, sure makes nice weather here, could be another good summer like '07 if it keeps up.
