Ours just went down for the count. Which of the new ones would you buy? The copy print fax jobs for home office use. We had lexmark and it sucked color ink and all cartriges were over priced so we will rule lexmark out. Don't really care about fax and scanner but guess they come all in one now. Thanks to all

We have a Canon MP 600. We have had good luck with it, seems to be easy on ink. It is an all in one. Does nice photo copies from the camera also. I don't know if it is still being made as that model though.

I have an old Canon Multipass C3000 that still works. Copier/Scanner/Fax/Printer. Got it free when someone left it in my rental house. I have had good luck with Epson printers and HP too.

They are all expensive to keep supplied with ink. Buy one that takes a store-brand cartridge and you can save some.

Bought Epson last year, got ink cartridges from company in Canada off ebay, ink every bit as good as original at 40% of price, mine is copier, scanner and printer, didnt need all that but nice to have to copy bill etc before mailing, Mark

I originally had an Epson printer but had trouble with the ink jets plugging from infrequent use. Bought an HP on a friend's recommendation which has worked fine. The Epson was capable of higher quality prints which is desirable if you are reproducing photos. But unlike HP, Epson has the ink jets separate from the cartidge which means that a plugged jet cannot be solved by a new cartridge. I don't do photos, so went with reliability vs quality.

This is the one I have and Love it.
I bought it on sale with an extra set of ink.
both color and black will set you back around $50.00 But we have yet to use the first set compleatly and the kids like to make cards and such. Had it for a month now. Plus I make a lot of copies from the forums.

I found a cannon for around 30.00 dollars. It was a close out. It has been a good one. buying the ink b&w is aboud 40.00. That is not so good. Stan

stylus color 760, it's about 5 years old and has never gave me any problems. Other than the normal cleaning process now and then. I have always filled my own cartriges and can't tell any difference in the way it prints or the color.

Kodak SP3---NO NO NO and again NO. Uses color ink when in the B & W setting, inkjets are cheap, but there is a reason for that as you can guess.

I have a lexmark, but I get the cartridges refilled at Walgreens for $10. That isn't too bad.

Staples has a deal right now where you get $50 rebate if you trade in your old dead rig. Gets the cost of the Epson All-in-one down to 100 bucks, HP about 120. But looks like there are some better deals down the thread.

I don't use color in my law office, and just got a black and white HP laser printer for $50 with that offer. Amazing how cheap this stuff is- thanks to the Chinese and Vietnamese serfs who are willing to work for pennies per hour. Can you imagine how expensive this stuff would be if made with US union labor? I can't imagine any of that work ever coming back to the US.

There- that ought to get the discussion off to a rousing start. Gentlemen, start your engines.

Don't do Brother. Have a four in one. Does well, but now showing error 41 call Brother. Nothing wrong, somehow they have it programed to have the print head replaced whether it needs it or not. Costs more than a new printer. Ink is also expensive.

Called Brother per the instructions. They said to unplug it and plug in again. Worked for several months. Now won't.

Brother is a "dead on arrival"- It has a replaceable "drum", in addition to the normal print cartridge. Problem is that the drum costs more than a new machine! So go with someone else- ANYONE else!

Got an HP 4 in one, works good. All ink cartridges are expensive, but you can save a little on the discount ones.

I have had Lexmark and brothers. Both sucked. Bought a Epson CSX5200 sounds like it is falling apart at times but it has never failed me. Four years and still going strong and it is an all in one.

In my lifetime I have had no less than 20 printers, copiers, fax, etc. This is the best one I have had by far.

HP Photosmart C8180 All-In-One.

by all means buy a laser printer,I happen to have a lexmark. Good for 2000 pages before rol replacement no limit on time between uses, super fast too.
The ink cartride printers arent any good especially when used once in a while, ink dries up.

I've been *very* happy with my HP Officejet 7310xi All-in-One. Print quality is very good, and rather fast compared to the Lexmark I used to have. Works great as a copier (even does two-sided copies). Scans documents and photos on the rare occasions when I want to do that (and I can fine-tune the photo before I print it). Even has a fax machine as part of the deal.

If this one crapped out tonight, I'd go and buy another one just like it tomorrow.

2 years ago bought a samsung SCX laser print scan copy fax no colour but i don"t care
machine is awesome new catridge is about $100 canadian but will put out 3,000 pagers

Look at a HP PSC all In One. We have one and it is very good at what it does.1600-1700 Series are all good units for the price.

I have an epson it has dry ink and very good on usage they also have extra cap size cartridges too. The regular ones for my workforce 500 are about $11 thats cheap. and those are new not refilled. i'll never go back to those ink hog HP
