Grilling planks

I have some cedar grilling planks that I would like to try out now that the weather is warming up. Thought I would start with a piece of salmon. Have you guys got any advice so I don't ruin a good chunk of fish?

I'd suggest starting with a grinnel (bowphin) phor practice; clean/dress it as usual; marinade overnight in your choice of marinade. Build a phire out-of-doors and when it has burned down to a good bed of coals, prop the grinnel....on plank....about 8 or 10 inches from phire. When the phish phlakes easily, remove phrom phire. Throw away the grinnel and eat the cedar. :>)))

And I suppose your going to tell him nt to throw the fish away and eat the plank as well?? :)^D

I thought they were called Opposom planks.

Thurlow: I really think it's time phor you to go back and make an ephphort to phind that woodchuck recipe. (;>)))
