small square movers questions

I am going to convert a lot of my alfalfa hay operation from round baling to small squares this year. Would like to go with a bale caddie accumulator I think.
I need to move the bales about a half mile to hay yard.

Questions for the folks;
1) Can I use my Lehman stack mover to put the bales on and transport then dump the stacks in the yard? Like do those chain type stack movers work for small squares without tearing the bales up? I would stack the accumulated bales right on the mover instead of trying to pick up the stacks.
2) Would I be better off spending the accumulator $ on a NH bale wagon, either pull-type or self-propelled?

Since you already have the stack mover I'd at least try it first. Put a load of small squares on it and unoad it. You'll see if it works. I know Allen In Nebraska uses one to unoad big round bales with.
It all boils down to economics. How much hay will you be needing to haul? If it is several thousand, I'd probably go with the New Holland bale wagon. As you already know, the accumulator set-ups aren't cheap either. Let us know how your stack mover works on small squares.

Dunno,

Think someone is in for an awfully long day. :>)
