Guess wanted share this here with you guys, wife send out e mails to a lot people.

Hello Family and Friends,

Some of you may already know, however Steve has just interviewed for a job position
as a farmhand here in our area of Omaha. This is a request for serious prayer for either this
or another job as a farmhand for Steve.

Steve has felt a need to be able to get out of the city, however my work and needs keep me
in the city. So the best compromise, which would allow Steve to be able to be more at home,
is if we are able to move just outside of town. In order for our finances to be in a better position
to be able to look at moving to a more rural household, we need an increase of our current
incoming salaries. A job as a farmhand would definitely allow for those extra means.

Also, I ask that you pray for our wise use and savings of those funds, to make these dreams
possible. That we become more disciplined in how we plan and use our money. And also that
we are able to discern how God wants us to use the gifts He gives us for His work. I need clarity
to clearly see where God wants our focus, so that I don't allow myself to be overwhelmed with
all of the great causes out there in this world.

We believe in the power of a multitude agreeing in prayer, and we are asking that you please
take this request of prayer seriously. Please send this on to any other people who you feel would
be lead to hold up our request in prayer. We truly appreciate your good thoughts and prayers in
our lives.  We want you all to know that you each as an individual, have touched our lives and
inspired us in a special way. Thank you for the difference your influence has made in our lives.

I'm sorry and I know that I will not be thought well of for this statement,but it is my heartfelt feeling.

Our Father knows what he has in mind for your future. He does not run a popularity contest and prayers for your personal goals flooding into him strikes me as rather tacky. His will be done no matter how many petitions flow his way. There is nothing wrong in you and your family praying for his guidance. You may find that this is what he meant for you or you may find that you have something totally different on your plate.
I will pray that He shows you how to accept with grace anything blessings that He may send your way.

Sounds to me like, you just blow your money unwisely and are asking god for help in handleling it. Best of luck to you and the Mrs. Hope everything works out for you both. Amen

Might want to consider separating "taking responsibility for your actions" and "prayer." God can't prevent you from making stupid decisions which is what it sounds like you are asking.

Hadn't paid much attention to where you are, doesn't matter to me. Just, perhaps there are more jobs around with farmers, if the first one doesn't work out.

It's tough when a person has that farming itch, and we can see this is important to you.

Good luck with it. We all see God in different light, so we get different replies when we bring Him up.... Just goes with society. I could give you my version, but no point to that - it only counts for me. God bless,

How about doing what God wants you to do as a priority. Instead of expecting presents from God as a priority.
You are already rich beyond the wildest dreams of 95% of the worlds population. You want more?
Work like it was up to you and pray like it was up to God.

Over many years, when there was a time of need I have always found that ADJUSTING THE OUTGO was an easier answer than increasing the INCOME. Now it seems that we can't give up our new cars/vacation/boat/fashionable clothes/cable tv/dining out/etc.. Reading between the lines (Steve feels the need, MY work AND NEEDS) it seems like MRS Steve is not real keen on changing.
