Yesterday it was nearly 80 and we had the a/c on. This morning its 39, wind blowing and rain and switched the thermostat over to heat.

Typical of the roller coaster winter we've had this year. Hope it doesn't freeze - lots of plants, trees will get nipped.

Don't mind the rain, we really need it.

West Central Wisconsin, Mississippi River Valley
0 at 8Am, with 35 mph northwest winds, about a
minus 18 windchill
We"ll be putting the garden in at about May 20.

I keep thinking the AC is going to have to come on at the house, but still gets plenty cool at night for the heat to come on... might be a bit uncomfortable in the afternoon, but why cool down when the heat will run at night?

Back home in ND, it's definitaly still heating season. Dad called this morning and reported -24 F on the thermometer. Wind chill is near -50 F. Luckily he only had a couple inches of snow in the SW corner of the state... My father-in-law got around 12 inches from this last storm and has been holed up in the house for two days. I hope it warms up before I go up there on April 4...

Trenton Ontario nice 2 deg cel.Robbins and cardinals are here, squirrels are nesting.Odd Canada geese flying north.

-43 C windchill in my part of Manitoba. Schools close at -45 windchill. I have often seen school closures in mid March for storm conditions, but never remember it this cold.

Massena, NY 39 degrees F AM, 55 mile an hour wind, forecast to go to 16 F tonite and 5 degrees F tomorrow nite. Such is the state of global warming in the great white North.

Well i learned the hard way about weather in N. Dakota . Back a few years ago i had to haul some circuit breaker up to a power plant up at Stanton N.D. and it was May , Back here in the Buckeye it was in the mid 80's . I had just cleaned out the truck of all the winter weather gear , My Carharts my heavy shirts my winter boots . I left one insulated shirt a hooded sweat shirt and a old Carhart vest hanging in the closet . I had the War Dept put one insulated underware top in my bag with a weeks worth of clothes for WARMER weather and set sail . Ran the A/C all the way to Black Water Falls WISC. where i stopped for the night .Got up the next morning put on a SHORT sleeve shirt had breakfast and off i go. Get to Bismarck and it is 87 degrees with what them folks call a lite breeze (yea wright the wind is howling at 45 mph ) sun beating down on the truck setting in the parking lot of the truck stop heat coming off the engine and transmission turning the cab into and oven . So i go into the truck stop and set down and have supper . Come back out side and it is still HOT , ok will go set in the lounge and have a couple beers . Winds still howling outside but the beer is cold and they have nice BIG glasses Met a bunch of nice local people and we sat and talked till 11:30 and i figured that i had better get to bed as Berry expected me at 8 the next morning . I walked out the door that just a few hours before was over 80 outside to now a COLD 27 . And all the nice COLD beer that i had drank was not helping . And of course the tuck is setting in the BACK of the lot . ANd it has gone from and OVEN to a FREEZER . AND do you know how long it takes a truck to warm up , my teeth were rattling while i was waiting to get HEAT coming out . Took over and hour to get the chill out of the bunk . Next morning it was STILL COLD . They had SNOW like 5 inches of that stuff just five miles north of the power plant . Just about froze unloading . Just before noon we all went to lunch at Glo's dinner- gas station- general store in town . The wind is still howling but when we got back to the power plant it was getting HOT again. By the time we got all the used circuit breakers loaded and i pulled out i had the A/C back on but by the time the sun went back down the heater was back on.

ROFL! Having lived in ND for most of my life, I've learned to always take EVERYTHING along and expect cold and snow at any time of the year. I've seen frost kill a garden in July!

We got 6 inches of snow yesterday and it was -8F this morning. They say about March weather" In like a lion, out like a lamb". We can use some of the lamb stuff about now!

it was 40 above yesterday and rain, today -5f and the wind is blowing about 30mph but talking a big warm up 40s northwest wisconsin

Stephen, I talked to my brother in Grand Forks last night. He said it was 5 below and the snow was blowing so that he could just make out the houses on the other side of the street. They had closed I-29 from Canada to South Dakota, and from Fargo west to Jamestown. Kinda reminded me of why I moved out west to Washington.

Here in west-central AR, 80 yesterday, 40 today, 36 snow and ice tomorrow. If you don't like the weather here today, just wait a day, it'll change.

We have had record lows the last 2 mornings, about 5 degrees if I heard right. And we got a couple of inches of snow on Monday.

We are only a couple of inches of snowfall from breaking the all time seasonal snowfall record in the Spokane area. I am sure tired of snow, but it would be kind of neat to break the record.

It's getting pretty late in the season for much more snowfall, but then it is unusual to have overnight lows near zero this late too.

Interesting weather!
