TNEN , While pulling to the feed lot Something went POP in the 800 CASE tranny , NO GO .. So Now I got 3 in sick bay counting the overhaul on the loader tractor ,, So ,HOW was YOUR Day ? Jim

Maybe you can get the County Council to appropriate some riverboat "stimulus" money...seems to work for most others who ask.

[Just joking...]

very good!! Got the wico on the allis and shes runnin great thanks to carb advice from dickL. More tinkering tomorrow, hopefully i'll get it good enough to crank start soon

my day went pretty good, except for the "sunday curse" striking again. phrase was coined by a former employee, refers to cows waiting until sunday to have their calves. it adds 15 minutes easy to sunday morning milking, when we're already in a hurry to get done for church. i had 1 (ONE) cow due before the end of march. guess what happened this morning? at least it was a heifer calf.
i just finished rebuilding the intake auger drive on my 353 grinder, using some of the components from my 352 parts grinder. those tanks hold a lot of buckets of grain, don't they?

Seems like we have pulled more Calves on Sunday than Any other DAY OF THE WEEK TOO .. Yes The NH 352 Does hold a lotof buckets .. And because it was Course most of the cow feed had to come out the top . I am hoping that remove front cap and Shaft asembly from Gear Box ,, Find and Repair a brokenWoodruff key or Roll Pin ,, Any experience in That part of the grinder ?

Just thought that, under the circumstances, maybe you needed a little humor to help deal with the misfortunes. I figure the county's got enough problems with the sheriff's federal lawsuit, no need to "borry trouble," as the old timers used to say.

That's always the way....
No chance it's just a shear bolt on the auger drive?
I've got a 355 and I've broken many a bolt in that drive. Never had to go any deeper than that tho...

Riverboat money, Ask anyone in Indiana about that who has paid any attention. All money was supposed to go to education. HA HA, They sure got us suckers on that one! Nuff about politics. Honestly it is getting old.. Hope no more breakdowns are headed your way, they always happen at the worst time when you need it the least. If you were close by you could borrow my H for a couple days to get the grinding done.

actually, the gearbox under the tank locked up and was the reason that the 352 became a parts machine. when it happened, i bought a low use 353 from a neighbor and used that. the 352 sat in a shed for 10 years, during which i found an early model 353 for a backup. when the 353s started having intake auger issues, and the drive shaft pieces for 1 side of the universal totalled over $300, i decided the 352 was worth more as a parts donor. i had to use the whole driveshaft but it worked.

As long as I only feed and milk I am ok. If I try to do anything else everything breaks. Sunday curse is right.

Company came down on late saturday. Wife wanted to take them out to eat on Sunday. Guess who got stuck with that bill? Yea.. me! Should have stayed home and pretended to be sick. lol oh well! Like to "Broke me to"
