Guess our new President is after all the People that are 60 years of age and older to be surrendering all their firearms if he and his Attorney Generals office has their way -- I think all of the seniors should be up in arms over this and storm Washington and the Change towards "GOOD." What kind of GOOD change is this ?

Get a hold of your senators/congressmen and shake some sense into them... Pronto !!! Seems that they have decided that anyone over 60 is senial and doesn't deserve to own firearms because they might shoot themselves -- just what age group commits crimes with gun's anyways ? i'll have to read the paper in the morning- maybe my neighbor who is 90 robbed a bank last week ? Where do these idiots in D.C. come up with this cockamamey garbage ? Big pay but small brains and nothing worth while to do but forbid Seniors from their Constitutional rights... let's give our guns to drug dealers so the crime rate will go down -- yeaH right !

These idiots that want to deprive law abiding American citizens of their 2nd Amendment Rights should be hanged by the neck until dead for TREASON against the US Constutition. King "Bammo and Holder should head the list.
 
Most people over 60 have selective vision and hearing problems and any that can still see and hear will forget what they are supposed to do when it comes to this.

Well if they want to take the guns from people over 60 then maybe none of them who are in office and over 60 should be in office. What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. So maybe they should past a law that no one over 60 can be in office
 
I think that 80% of all gun crimes are committed by persons between the ages of 15 and 40, with most being in the lower age range.. And almost all with unregistered and/or stolen guns.. I am not going to play the race card, but very few of those gun crimes are committed by rural white folks..
 
It won't be until they try to enforce it that the 60+ "gang" will start using them! external_link-bin-ladin can then take some more taxpayer money and build more prisons for all of the baby-boomers who fought for this country AND the right for a black man to even be elected to the office of President! If he pulls this off there are a lot of people in white sheets/hats that might have something to say about the life expectancy of a black anti-constitutional president.

Remember........Lock up your guns. Hide them too. I am more worried about crooks breaking in and ripping me off.
 
If you can't point to a credible source for your story, then I have to call BS on you.

BTW, it would be nice if our president and AG were only interested in limiting gun ownership for those 60 and over. But noooo....
 
Just applies to New York, Illinois, and California, but h*ll, you guys can't have guns anyway. Your politicians think you might hurt yourself!

I can see a personal benefit to an over 60 law - the first time I have to shoot a burglar, I can plead insanity because of senility and have the backing of the president of the United States.
 
it wont happen, if it is even for real, they picked on the wrong age group, rule #1, dont mess with old men, old men dont take #$%@ from anybody these "seniors" are the group that has been in at least 2 wars themselves, they know how to defend their rights, they know what they fought for and wont let any moron in a suit in washington take that away, no mater what his agenda, my outlook is the us constitution is not open to change by every president that gets elected, its fine as written
 
The "proposal" is a hoax, but it sure does get the ole blood pressure up, doesn't it?

#2 son came over yesterday, brought a selection of guns for our shooting pleasure. Was impressed with a little 380 auto for personal protection- fit in the palm, easily concealed, and had pretty good "punch" for its size (ammo is the equivalent of 9MM "short"). Brand was AMD or AMT or some such- anyone familiar with it? Wife has a Taurus .357 magnum, for cougars when she's riding horses in the woods, but liked the little guy as well.
 
Already doing that in Toronto "for our own good". The cops are looking up registered firearm owners over 65 and walking into the place. They don't need a warrant if they believe there is a public danger from unsafe firearms.
Federal Law allows cops to bust into your place anytime without a warrant for anything involving firearms.
 
Thanks to all that have responded: I don't really know if it's hoax, but it looks more and more like BS that it is... Just to let my politicians know I have printed out and sent the article (on Snopes.com and Kountry Life site) to my Senator and Congressman. Just to let them know that the only people that are out of their gourds are people that would generate this stupid notion to "protect" the elderly; given that it's credible !!!! And, that myself along with millions of Seniors will carry the torch of the late Charleton Heston till Washington, DC and hell won't have it anymore !!!!!
 
Sean Hannity and Mike Huckabee were commenting on Fox TV the other evening about there being a large group of citizens of this country so lacking in sophistication that they will believe anything anyone tells them without checking the facts or applying logic.

The liberals know this and use it to their advantage.
 
Tell you one thing, if they busted in on me, like popping the door and conducting a raid....... they'd regret it.....
 
Im 71,next buy will be an AK47 and 1000 rounds.10 30 round clips should do it.Im old but not dead yet.
 
If 36 coupe needs an AK47 to protect himself he fits rught into their reason for this hoax. I own guns have for years and I see no reason for anybody to have an AK47 with ammo. That is the person that shoots up the schools and so forth. To have one to own and admire is fine or to use for target shooting is fine but Im glad he doesn't live next door to me and get mad at me for some reason. 1000 rounds!!
