Hope full I get back in to Farming!! been away from working on an farm for last 6 years and found one that is closer to where we live.. am going out this weekend see the farmer and farm.

not sure how many acres and does have crop corn soybeans, wheat, and hay.. Cows too..

How much yearly pay should ask for? 2800 an month?

I may plan on bringing over my JD 4000 and 22' box truck and trailer.. and other tools that I own.

Farmer did see my Resume and called up pretty right away wanted see me and my wife! oh wow..

I know how hard I am at farm work always get the job done no matter what..

just need your in put on what pay should be. I dont think I would like go by the HR pay..

Its hard to say, need a lot more information. Full time, part time, running the operation for him, or helping? 150 acre side farm or 4000 acres 4 guys full time? What area of the country?Grain prices are in the losing money range right now so you might have to make a deal with him that pay will be better when prices are better.
 
yeah.. will find out more when see him.. it be an full time farming job. it's south Omaha nebraska so I am guessing there more land cross some place.. He has 3 fulltime truckers and other fulltime guy on farm.
 
If he's got 4 full-time employees, I'd be very surprised if the pay is negotiable; probably be a 'take it or leave it'..........assuming he's interested. For 'around here', you've got your sights set too high.
 
Good luck, if you can get the job in this econmony and you like it, you should be happy. Let us know how you make out.
