Thats better, looks good...we always had a 5000 for light utility work,,ours were the low profile....what lettering did they use to distinguish between these models ?? thanks

Nice job on the 5200!! I have a 1971 5200 with the newer style sheet metal. By far the best tractor ever on this farm with 10,000 trouble free hrs on the clock. BTW, all 5000 models had the same decals although the high arch models were referred to as 5200's. Mine has the wide front end,but would like to have a tricicle some day......very few narrow fronts sold in this area.

This one is gas rated at 60 HP. It was built 1-4-68 prior to Ford going to the larger 256 ci engine in April of 68. That engine was rated at 67. I had to have new engine parts forged in Texas as they are no longer available.

That is a great looking tractor. We always had a little Ford of some kind on the farm growing up (4000SU, 4600 ect). They were the toughest most trouble free tractors we had. Nice job.

I have seen 4000's like that. Is it a SOS or 8 speed? First time I saw one of those SOS transmissions, that looked to me like they were really nice to run.

I saw that I thought to myself that is just the way Joe would want to start his day out...someone trying to stir something up with you....LOL.

i helped a friend of mine do spring plowing with a 5000 utility sos tranny with a turbo, that woke that little sucker up.
it would pull 4-14s any where you wanted to go. it was a fun tractor to drive one with a platform (rowcrop) would have been better.
