I learned one thing when I first started doing engine work in high school. As long as you have compression, fuel, and ignition, it WILL run. May run really bad, but it will run. Take any one of those things away, and your done. Stay away from starter fluid. I have used WD40, carb cleaner and even fogging oil lightly directly into the carb. Biggest thing is that starting fluids are really volitile and could break the skirt off your pistons. I'm sure you will get 'er fired up. Keep the video camera rolling.
