Barge traffic

Talked to my buddy this morning who works at the river grain terminal here in Davenport, IA. He has been loading barges for almost a week. It's the earliest he's loaded in along time.

The channel ice is looking pretty soft up here in MN already. Nearly hit 50F yesterday. Expecting the ol' eagle swarm any day now if it keeps up.

We have been do in alot a flushin up her an the flush water is warm.

We have about a full layer of hail 1/8" covering everything. I don't ever recall that happening before in my life.

We got a heavy rain for about a hr off and on. Pumps are a runnin full stream in the basments in alot of houses now. I have a few (extra) friends tonight borrowing my pumps.

Been takin alot of ribbin on that ordeal, so far I have chosen to respect the mom and not offer even a single coment. Gossip has it that the little guy is doing good for eight weeks early,(don't know the family) and a few other adverse issues at his arival.
