As per a post a while back on what happened to The Grand Ole Oprey and real country music. I would love to see " Murder on Music Row" by Strait and Jackson come back and be played all over this country. For once let's see who really has the power in this country. Use the power of multi-level communication and let's bring it back. Gaylord Entertainment be damned!I for one am going to do it on 4 different stations and as often as it takes . Or you can let a good tune die only to be replaced by the likes of "Kid Rock" and the other pond scum that the "NEW" Nashville caters to. In just the time it takes some of you to type an arguement (which you will)you could be part of a "who's got the power" test. Might surprise us all.

That's one I like! :) Actually I like most country, old ones and even most of the new ones.

Can listen to anything but opra & rap. Blah!

I like BOTH kinds of music. Country AND Western. But CCR, Bob Seger, ZZ, Meatloaf, Buddy Holy, Lynrd Skynrd, Steppenwolf, and a bunch more fill about every spare hole in the cabinets.

Neat thing about living over here, some of the old bands are still around and touring here. In the last 5 years, we saw ZZtop, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Nazareth, Deep Purple, Status Quo, The Bellamy Brothers, and Bruce Springstien (wish I could take that trip back).

There's a whole bunch that do free shows for service members all over that make it here also.

Oh come on the only real country out there is Jimmie Rogers, Hank (and I don't mean Jr, Straight or 3) George, Merle, Vern, and The Carter family

Google "The Death of Jimmy Martin" by Tom Russell. I kinda like the lyrics, but I think it the only song by him I"ve ever heard. A few of you might get a kick out of it...

Listen to anything you can find by Tom Russell. Someone mentioned Murder on music row by George Strait/Allan Jackson. That was written by Larry Cordle and is on a cd of the same name. Good acoustic country and bluegrass music.
