Prepped the tractor blower and skid loader. Feed the cows up good and gave em some nice oat straw for bedding, and eating. Lat I heard on 98 country they are calling for 8-12". I have a few elderly neighbors to plow out so I have to make sure my stuff it ready to go. Been a while since we had a good dumping of snow. march of '06 i think.

Hi Dave, Yes, sounds like it is on the way!! I think 98 Country does a nice job on their forecast. It seems like some stations there could be a tornado outside of their window, yet they still report that it should be a nice clear day! I think the last "real big" dumping we had was right about this time in 2007, there were 2 storms about a week apart in which each storm we had over 12" each. Enjoy the snow. I have a snow plow on the front of my 8N and love pushing the snow!

Dang it. I wanted to go to the Farm Show in Saint Cloud tomorow. I guess I will stay home and plow instead.

Listened to Dave Dahl on Garage Logic this afternoon and he is of the mind its gonna be tough got this one to miss up. Skid loader fueled up and snow bucket on......

Blower is on the 6070 AC, heathouser chains and snowbucket on the 170 AC, Skid loader is ready to go, plow is on the pickup, cows are fed and dropping calves at a slow pace, but expecting with the forecast to have about 10 born tomorrow. Me, well I could stand about 65, sunny, and green grass about now. Oh well, it will do what it will!

kelo in Sioux Falls used to have one forecaster Dave Deadrick who retired in the 80's and was rumored to be quite a drinker but he could hit it right fairly often, now they have 4 clowns with a bunch of fancy equipment and they do a poorer job now than 20 years ago. To wait and see is about the only way to know what it is going to do, or get one of those Norwegian rocks, if it is wet it's raining ect. They think this one will follow US 14 across the Dakotas with areas to the North getting the heavier amounts.

It doesn't sound like the storm will make it quite this far south, but if it does, my wife will just have to stay home because my shoulder isn't anywhere near ready to run a tractor and my close neighbor who usually helps me just had shoulder surgery too, a couple of days ago. (sigh) At least I'd have a chance to spend a day with the redhead if she can't get to work.

Did someone say spring is coming? Jim

I hope the weather guesser's have it wrong for down here near the Iowa border. They are calling for 1/2 to 3/4 of ice! I will take snow anytime over ice.

I hear you on kelo and their poor forcasts. I listen to them and do the exact opposite and it is right on the money 60% of the time.

I'm down in South Carolina. 75 and sunny. Won't be back until late Friday night. Hope the driveway is cleared when I get home....

Here in Western Wisconsin the guessers are calling
for 8 inches north of I-90, and an "Ice Storm"
south of I-90. How does mother nature get so
precise ? I'm 10 miles North of I-90, in the
Mississippi river vally, and i'm worried about
this coming storm.

Yesterday was 70 here in Oklahoma today 65 Forcast below freezing with snow. Spring Jr. Livestock show to open Monday. Always hve bad weather.
