9n hydraulic lift problems

Hello, new here. Have a 9n, hydralics were a little shaky, then replaced the safty valve and hydraulics work better than ever for about 2 days, now will not lift the box blade. Pulled cover off and didnt see no fluid churning so safty valve should still be holding.
Any ideas what to check? Want to hook up a gauge but don't know where to get one with 1500-2000 psi. :?:

With that cover off and it running with the control in the lift position look up. If you see any fluid dripping down your cylinder is leaking. Any move ment of the oil with it running and the control in the lift position is bad and could be a gasket or other problems. As for the gauge you need any good farm and home place will have them or a tractor dealer will have them Cost around $30 give or take a few

Well went back out there and used a flash light this time and can see some movement in the fluid, carefully stuck my hand in there and the safety valve was not leaking by, maybe due to the pto shaft spining? The ram was dripping about every 6 seconds but have read thats normal. I guess with the new safety valve and better presure blew a gasket somwhere. Seemed like the most chirining was from behind the back side of the pump. Got a gauge for $20 at a hydraulic hose and fitting place but need a fine thread 90 to be able to screw it on because of exhaust pipe. Will go back and get one tomorrow.
Thanks again for the responses, much appreciated. Anyone have a diagram of the pump where gaskets are?

I think I have that manual, but I left it at work and it will be friday before I go back.

I seen somewhere there was a video on hydraulics has anyone bought this? any good?
Thanks

First keep your hands out of their with it running:!: get a 1/2" I.D. length of hose and slip it over the relief valve enuff to either get the end out were you can see it are above the oil. If the relief valve is leaking your eyes will see it.

I don't know what a gauge will tell ya,,, you already know it dose not work right

Use a mirror and follow the path of the oil,,, If the lift leaks down fast its most likely a leak above the pump are in the tube leading to the lift cover

Contrary to what folks will tell ya a spinning PTO shaft in oil will churn the oil rather good, its normal to see this behind the pump

Thanks hobo for the hose trick, like that alot better. I was thinking the shaft was churning the oil but wasn't for sure.
Put the gauge on and no pressure, so what can I check next, I'm not seeing any leakage anywhere? I looked up into the inspection hole while running and seen no fluid squirting around so I think the upper gasket, on ram and top plate, is fine. any gaskets on the pump?

Thanks again
