Very narrow root rake grapple.

I'm looking at a 30 inch wide root rake grapple. How useful do you thing a grapple this narrow would be. I would be mostly moving logs and brush with it.

For the same price and weight I could get a 60 inch grapple but it is not as deep, doesn't open as wide and looks less durable.

I currently build 36 inch and 42 inch grapple buckets for mini skid steers. I have some pictures and more info at terrapwr.com

I would think it depends on if this going on a skid steer or a tractor and what kind of horsepower/weight? 30" might be good for grubbing out some stumps or stubs- for clearing you might want to consider a 60" or 72" with separate cylinders for each grapple (2). I use a 72" on my T-250 Bobcat and it has proven to be a really good investment. Shop around and compare because this is one thing that cheap definably isn't better- want at least 5/8" rake teeth, etc.
