The wife wants me to watch a movie with her.... She rented the movie Broke Back Mountain...can someone come up with a good excuse as how to get out of this ???? any help would be appreciated !!!
 

tell her the trees out in the yard need pruning and that it can only be done after dark so it doesnt do damage to the food moving systems of said tree. should work :wink: :lol:
 
Find something to get "Sick" on and I don"t mean the Movie as it will surely sicken you. Reports I have heard indicate this.I personally have no inclination to view such Trash.
 
Be honest! Tell her the movie is not your kind of movie. Or tell her that you do not wish to put money in the pocket of people that make these kinds of movies. No, I have not seen it. Yes, I did read the description on the box and then I put it back on the shelf. Bob
 
Sit in the chair with your reading light-a few minutes when you get bored, pick up your favorite tractor book and watch the book.
 
best way to watch it, a couple hours before movie time, snack on 3 or 4 hardboiled eggs, couple bowls of good thick bean soup, add a few dashes of tabasco sauce. some fried cabbage and a couple handfulls of raisins for desert. then get a cozy warm afgan, snuggle up to yer sweetie and when the dinner kicks in, pull the afgan over her head and give er a dutch oven!!!she'll send ya out to the barn for the rest of the evening, which is where you wanted to be in the first place. (oh, earlier in the day stock up the barn with snacks, beverages, couple tractor books, maybe a tool catalog or 2.
 
This works for me....I just say nope, not me and not only does it work but it gets me quite time by myself for about 10 days, sometimes more. Nothing like quite time to do the things I want and I get a lot done. Only down side is there might be something you want to get done....and trust me you wont get it done. LOL
 
MAN UP! ah, I guess that's kinda a bad expression given the movie, but seriously, just say NO , thats what I did. Walked down for a second to give her the benifit of the dounbt and saw two dudes smooching...nuff for me, up the stairs and out to the cows I went.

Sit down after dinner to watch it, immediately nod off to sleep. Wake up, try to watch for a few minutes, go to sleep again. After about 3 times, wake up and announce, "I'm just beat, honey- can't stay awake." and get up and go to bed. No confrontation, no repercussions or loss of priviledges. All very clean and tidy. Just try to make it convincing.
 
Hey Glenster - Thats a good one. Now I've figured out why my wife wants to throw me out about half the time!
Can't make the Morris sale but I'm sure more on the way (that time of year). If you happen to run accros a decent, matched pair of 15.5 X 38 tires south of I-80 let me know. Jim
 
Maybe if you sit on the couch with her, rub her back and whisper sweet nothings one thing will lead to another and you won't be having to watch the movie afterall! :O
 
Heath Ledger was a great actor. The kids still watch A Knights Tale. We are watching Batman right now. The wife watched BBM and said it was a great movie. I could not bring myself to. I respect him for being able to see past the gay scourge to make the movie. Just because I could not watch it does not mean it is not art. Heck there is alot of art I don't like. It's a First Amendment thing.

The Lord took him young. What an artist.

I dont understand why anyone would want to see it.I dont condone that lifestyle,or the portrayal of it either,nor would I ever have it shoved down my throat(no pun intended).I guess Ive got a real good woman.My wife would never allow crap like that in our house.
 
I'm just glad my wife (nor I) would allow that garbage into our house. That way, the situation never comes up...
 
First get a cord the color of the tv one. Unplug the tv and put cord under tv so it can't be seen. Then plug the other one in and leave end next to TV. Tell her it don't work and probably cause of the dumb movie she got to watch. Then tell her you will fix TV tomorrow and walk off to kitchen area.
 
Sit and watch movie, if you had a child you loved dearly or a good friend that has a child with these feelings, most all of your comments would be very different, thank GOD for what you have, your wife will give you all kinds of good stuff !!!!
 
I don't understand why a woman thinks a man would want to watch a movie about two other men with a mental illness. Never watched it, never will.
