Dave from MN I seen your ad on the other page about tractors in movies.
The Painted House is a good family oriented movie about picking cotton by hand, has a John Deere tractor in it and other related farm machinery.

Seabiscuit has a scene where 2 guys are trying to start an old JD model D. If you look and listen you"ll hear the sound bite of and electric starter turning over, but the tractor used is a hand start, and flywheel isn"t turning.
Also the movie Con-Air has the scene where they are trying to pull the plane out with a JD R. Even get the front end bouncing
