3020 injector pump

Meant to label my last post as 3020 not 2030. Got my wires crossed, I guess.

Working on a "67 3020 that has sat outside for about three years. Put a new fuel pump on it, bled the lines through the new fuel filters. Have new fuel up to the injector pump and fuel going back through the return line, but no fuel will go to the injectors themselves. It is like the throttle lever is in the stop position even though I have it at WOT. I have been told that this Roosa Master pump has a metering valve that is pushed closed when you pull the throttle lever to the stop position and I believe that the valve is stuck from sitting. Is there anything that could be done to fix this short of pulling the pump off and taking it to a repair shop? The pump was rebuilt about a year before the tractor was parked, so unless there is something damaged from sitting, it should be good and strong. Thanks in advance for your help.

remove the cover that is held on by 3 screws.look at the inside top of the pump.there is a lever sticking out to the left.this is the metering valve.see if it moves when the throttle lever is moved.if not you could carefully move it up and down with a small screwdriver.

It is just as likely (MORE likely, I'd say) that the plungers in the "hydraulic head" are gummed up and stuck in the retracted position so they don't take on fuel and none is injected.

It would be more common for the metering valve to get stuck on a 2020 because the pump sits sideways and that valve is on top. First spot to dry out. But, even on a 3020 with a vertical pump, it can happen over time. Very easy to get to and check.
