Hey Bud,

You mentioned getting bearings for a Fella disc mower in an earlier post. You've given me advice before about these Fella units. I got prices from the local dealer on bearings, etc. to rebuild the gearbox. Wasn't too bad, I can get some online. The big question is: Did you or anyone else out there rebuild the gearbox? Any tips? Mines a SM 320. Thanks for the help.

Never been in the gear box on mine, think it's a 270. I do not have a dealer very close (over 100 miles) so I have always bought parts from taver sales out of LA. I think they are the main distributer for fella for the nation. They have been very helpful. If you call and order parts and then ask a question about the part you just bought, they will put you through to the shop and I think the guy's name is mike but not sure, any way there is a guy in the shop who will talk you though about anything. Also, while you ain't gonna be able to read them, they will sell you photo copy's of the parts manual pretty cheap and they have good pics. Never thought of it but we should send the manuals to Dave2 and have him read them to us, maybe he's been in Germany long 'nuff to pick up the local language.

Good luck.

Dave,

I never thought of that. I have the manuals and they are a bit hard to read. At least with Spanish you can guess at some of the words! Thanks for the help.
