D15 AC Starting problems?

I have a D15 AC tractor with a gasoline engine and for the love of me can"t get it started.New plus,rebuilt carb,new wires,cap and points.It turns and tries to fire, but won"t.Bad gasoline maybe?

Didja Check the block of plastic that goes through the side of the distributor for a crack? Also, was it running before?

If it tries to fire I'm wondering if the dist. got turned when you were replacing wires' cap, and points. Sounds like it may be late in timing.
