Prayer's needed for a young man with leukemia

My sister's nephew (my nephew, too as far as I'm concerned) has been diagnosed with leukemia and has been in the hospital in Minneapolis. He is only 3 1/2 years old. The first round of treatments had gone as expected, but he has become very ill and they suspect an infection now.

Sure would appreciate prayers for such a little guy having to go through so much. Prayers for the family to get them through this tough time would be appreciated as well.

Guess I should have mentioned the little guy's name is Levi.

The prayer is on the way. A friend's son was treated for leukemia when he was in his upper teens and so far, eight years later he's clear. I'm praying that Levi can have the same results and I'm praying for his parents too.Jim

young child to cancer several years ago. I pray
for recovery, but we need to leave it in God's

An update: Levi now has bacterial meningitis as well. His immune system has been weakened from the cancer treatment and it got into his system. I haven't heard yet what the planned treatment is for that, but he is in the hospital and, thanks to all the prayers, in God's hands.

Thank you all for the prayers, Levi and his family really appreciate it.

July,04 I lost a grandson to cancer at the age of 20. We prayed continously,but God took Him home to be with him. We miss him something terrribley.

An update, Levi's treatment for the meningitis has been working - he no longer shows any of the bacteria in his blood stream. They will test his spinal fluid sometime yet this week as well.

He is beginning to feel better, thank you for all the prayers so far - they are so appreciated! Please keep him in your thoughts as he continues his cancer treatments.

My sister has the opposite of what your nephew has. Hard to believe but yes my sister's system is making too much blood. Her platlet count gets high and causes blood clots. She was diagnosed with this at the age of 39, she is now 45. It's been rough for her family. She has two children, their son 18 and their daughter 17. They live on a big dairy farm and her husband and his 3 brothers with a lot of hired hands milk over 500 cattle twice a day. My prayers go out to your nephew! God Bless him and your family!!
