troy bilt tiller kohler engine

I have an older model troy bilt horse tiller with a 7 horse kohler motor on it. I am needing a new starter assembly...im not sure what you call it, but its the part the you pull to crank it. It has wore out and the place where I have my work done wasnt able to find me a new one. Any help? Thanks

KOHLERENGINES.COM . ENTER AS GUEST ,LOOK UP THE PART NUMBER USEING YOUR MODEL AND ENGINE SPEC # . THEN ANY KOHLER DEALER SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET ONE FOR YOU. EBAY MAYBE.

i am think'n mine had a 6HP will have to look for the old engine to confirm,,, starter was good in fact I never used it but a few times and that was when it would not start after it set up for awhile,,, The engine blew up so I got a new engine B/S delivered to my door for $175 with electric start,,, it has more power than the original,,, the replacement may B a 5HP will try and post a link

So if a new starter looks to b rite pricey a new engine mite B the way to go,,, I did buy another horse model that did not have the electric start and had points,,, the electric starter are flywheel would not interchange,,, blocks different

If you don't know you can down load the operators manual off the net,,, its over 100 pages i think,,, nice to have and mite have the parts break down[/url]

BTW I was very pleased with small engine warehouse

THAT 7HP KOHLER IS A K161,, 8HP K181 EXTERNAL PARTS AND GASKETS WILL INTERCHANGE AND ARE MORE ABUNDANT...LUCAS
