Dave,
You know with a lot of barbeque sauce it will taste just like
chicken. Nice looking critter, Age ? Breeding stock ?

I haven't even seen the pedigree (wife has it all under control). She's just a foundation bred mare. Make nice allround babies. We have our own stallion, hope they make nice babies. We'll be breeding her in the next month or so. What do you have for a stallion? Mares also?

Dave

She's coming 4. Common to eat horse meat here. Have a buddy that's kind of a drugstore cowboy that braggs it up about being in the local rodeo chapter and how a cowboy never would eat a horse. I bought him a bratwurst made from horsemeat and he never knew the difference until I gave him the receipt afterwards.

She'll be a broodmare, but I think I'll ride her a little when the weather warms up a little. We bought her from Missouri and shipped her over. We did the same last year and the year before also. If she's anything like the other 2 she'll be an easy trainer.

We have an arabian stallion for now, comming 1 year old. The mares are comming this summer if things go right. If you want to see his dad go to the arabian web site and look up OPUS 1, I sure got lucky with this one.

John

I always thought that an Arabian was an Arabian was an Arabian until I came over here and went to a couple of horse shows. There's a bigger Arabian farm a few miles away that we pass by. Beautiful horses but the people that have them are pretty snooty. Another guy has some Berbers that are as big as our quarter horses.

Dave

Arabian owners snooty! Thats funny, just tell them, Thoroughbreds are the most expensive fastist horse in the would.

Not so up to date on my breeders register but I do know a nice looking hoss when I see one and that my friend is a nice looking hoss. Hope she turns out as nice to care for as she looks.

We've got two mares that we bought over here that make nice babies with our stallion but can be a little flighty and moody. The 3 we bought in Missouri (The MO Mares  ) are completely different horses. Bomb proof and will do anything for you.

Dave

Dave, nice looking hoss there! My grand dad had belgians, actually preferred to farm with them whenever possible. Greg

Just be carefull not to push her too hard. . . Id be curious to know if she has any "Impressive" genetics (Stud from sometime back) looking at her muscle mass. She looks like a good candidate for a HYPP attack (or tying up). Had a quarter horse farm I used to do vet work for and those things were bred to look big but were always having the attacks. Almost like a muscle cramp. . . horse gets real stiff, sweats, and acts uncomfortable.

She'll be fine....No Impressive or any problems performance horses have. Just a big, spoiled kid.

Dave

Nice looking horse, the flight over must have been uneventfull, do the use a mild sedation, and did you really trailer her home with a Kia ?

no drugs. She's cool as a cucumber. The Kia did just fine. Little week in the hills but fine on the autobahn.

(quoted from post at 07:06:05 02/03/09) In the top picture... Which one did she drag home??? LOL

You IS a funny dude.................. Not the most photogenic guy in the world.......... I like to get stuff done (just pulled hair for a gene test) then change and chill. Wife thinks that damn camera is an extension to her hand.

Or, you just don't like my hat????
