I was wondering if an oliver 88 and 1850 have the same bolt pattern for the adapter plate between the engine and bell housing? Also, I was wondering if anyone knows how long the engine is in an oliver 88. Thanks

I wa told either a 1550 or 1650 engine was a bolt in for an 88. I DO NOT know from experiance.
I think the 1850 would not be the same.

I'm gonna say no. The Perkins block is a different animal all the way around. As for Kents answer on the 1550-1650 engine. Yes and no. The 1550 will bolt in anywhere that the 1650 engine will, but it's an inch shorter behind the rear motor mount holes,so your PTO long shaft will come up short.

Oops, you didn't say 1850 diesel did you. The 310 gas,I don't know. If not,you might be able to redrill the plate to fit. I just drilled a flat plate a few weeks ago to hang a 1600 gas motor on an engine stand.
