How would I go about replacing brakes? Does the tractor hve to be split to do it like some?

i beleive the only way to do it is to remove the axle housings.

An IT manual will tell you how. If I remember right, the left axle housing has to come off to do the left brake but only the right final drive comes off for the right one. Both are easy. Jim

Correct the left side -remove the housing at the tranny. Right side remove the final at the end of the diff housing. I use a cherry picker to pick the assy after i remove the wheel and tire at the axle.
