Finally got the oliver running. Sounded like a Detroit with a straight pipe. I got 2 questions:
1. Would cutting diesel with gas make a detroit runaway?
2. would a injector unplugging it self make the exhaust smell like a burnt wax candle? cause after starting both times, the place smelt like a giant burnt wax candle.

I do not know on the blended fuel, but if it was in the 10 - 15 % range, I do not think so.
The engine rebuild (I assume that is what is going on) assembly Lube often has paraffin based hydrocarbons in it. This may be the small. If parts were used that have cosmoline residue on them it will also make weird smells. JimN

well the diesel looks like some body cut red diesel with gas cause i looked at some that i had collected form a drain valve and it looked pink not red. The engine was rebuilt some time ago but one of the injectors I was told stopped working recently(after sitting for a year) so could the clog(I assume) cleaned it self out? i don"t know.

We'll drain the tank and put in clean non cut diesel and see what happens.
