Alone a dangerous for a week.......

Wife and friend just left for Texas. 220 something mile drive pulling a horse trailer to Luxemburg, then a 16 or so hour flight. Week of zooming to see as much as they can then babysit some horses on the flight back and bring one home for me to clean up after. Gives me a week to play with my toys.

Hey Dave , Did you and yours get a good idea of what to see here in Texas ?
We are having some great weather down here for some sight seeing , I hope she enjoys it here !
 
Her priorities are the stockyards and a rodeo, The Alamo, Sheplers store, a couple of ranches, a day in Clifton visiting someone her travelling partner knows, Cracker Barrel Resteraunt, real Mexican food (a lot closer than we get here anyway), and anything that catches her eye along the way. She's got a rental car with unlimited mileage and Motel 6 is leavin the light on for her, so look out.

I think so too. Just hope the natives (more likely the transplants) behave themselves and don't ruin the trip for them. The worse shepler's is, the better. You can't go anywhere here that there is a horse or place playing country music that there ain't a few drugstore cowboys bragging about how they ordered their "outfit" (and they use the word several times in the conversation) from sheplers and how great it is. I enjoy toning them down every chance I get. The boot store sounds good though.
