MPH herbicides

Just sitting here thinking about herbicide spraying this spring. Was wondering if anyone uses a handheld GPS to figure MPH while spraying? I have a Garmin GPSMAP 60 CS I use while hunting. Are the MPH speeds accurate enough to be of use?
Are there places online you can buy herbicides? Specifically I’m using Prowl 3.3 EC on sunflowers.

I just recently had the opportunity to use a TomTom GPS reciever on a road trip. The MPH speeds indicated on the unit are the most accurate you will get. It was always dead on with the speedometer in the car, and also with the radar on the traffic signs that tells you how fast you are going.

I bought a Garmin 760 that I use out in the field to more accurately check my tractor speed.
It reads out to the tenth of a mile per hour below 10 mph. It seems to be pretty accurate; pretty hard to check and be right on. I haven't used it for planting corn or soybeans yet, but will next spring.

Cheap way to check it. Get your tractor or sprayer all set up just like you are going to use it. Even go to the actual field as wheel slippage will vary between No till fields vs. chisled for instance. Get your watch out. Get two wrenchs or anything you can throw overboard and find later. I start driving, look at my watch and throw out my first marker. Drive for 1 minute, throw out other marker. Now go back and "step off" the distance traveled, or if you are a stickler I guess you could use a tape measure or wheel. Divide the feet traveled in 1 minute by 88 and you have MPH. Like I said, its cheap, and you get some exercise!!
