4 Wheeler Tires

Just wondering what the boys north of the Mason/Dixon line are running. My Goodyear Rawhides at about 50 percent - didn't do anything today at 25 degrees - slipping and sliding all over. Running a Polaris Sprortman 700 and my 400 did a lot better - haven't gone back to check the tires on that scooter. Let me know what you know!

Thanks - Jim

I am only bout 25 miles SOUTH of the river, but round here alot of people realy like the Mud Lites.

I think thats what I am going to get when my factory tires give out. I have about 25% left on a 04 foreman with over 2000 miles on it.

I went the "cheap" route with the Carlisle AT489 on my Polaris Xpedition, and really couldn't be any happier. With the new tires and about 200# of tractor weights on the back I can push a bunch of snow. I've heard good about the more expensive radial tires but have no experience with them. Jim

Those AT489's are a good all around tire. They came standard on my '06 Sportsman 450 4x4, and with 3200 miles are still at least 50%.

Thanks - will look into the Carlisle tires as we were out running around today and same results, after changing tire pressure. Didn't know they made radial ATV tires.

Do you folks have an online source for tires? They are well over a hundred bucks a piece here. Thinking it might be cheaper to order them from the US.
