I have been using Q-Books for fifteen years to twenty I would guess. I have liked it real well, and made business alot less time consuming.
This fall I purchased a new computer, so did the Vista thing. So now we go down the money grabbing slope of new MS Works for spread sheet, and then Q-Books Pro 2008. I installed the Q-Books 2008 and could see nothing new that I could tell. After so many uses you are forced to register the software.
Monday I was getting close to the deadline so I went for the registration part. I called Intuit the company that makes Q-Books, and got nowhere so they advanced me to the Tec department. I should have hugged the english speaking dude over the phone, because from there forth --EVERY FREAKING person was from India. Most have learned english from a bubble gum wrapper.
Found out that 2008 did not install and was using 5.0 that was on my old computer. Only one out of a thousand will work with Vista, but mine did just fine.
The India lady run my computer from India and downloaded the software for me and all was well.
Exactly 1 hr.
Tuesday I tried to use it and it was gone. I called again, and simply got recordings to use a web page for support. I finaly went the registration route to speak to a human again. But now there was no record of my registration either. All tecs are busy serving other....
Finaly a India lady, said no record of registration, but for $70.00 I could talk to a tec dept. I said no way, Then for $39.00 per month....and before it was all said and done she chewed me out for buying it at Wal-Mart instead of from them direct. $199.99 I paid and figured they must make it right...very loud and foul language on my behalf, threat of law suit etc. before I was transfered.
Still no record of my registration, then we tried for half hr to have that person operate my computer, did not work so he said he would transfer me to the lady that did it on monday...hummmmmm...no record of my call, no registration...but he knew who delt with me on Monday. She was one out of hundreds of tecs she told me and buy golly the guy transfered me to the correct lady.
She claimed the only way it could of been taken off my computer is by someone at my desk. I slept at the keyboard till two A.M., And the door was locked.
They got me going now, but they realy had me mad to say the least. But when I went postal on them I did get away without any charges. This was Three hrs and twelve min. of fighting.
So anybody dealing with Intuit..bite them in the A$$ and stick to your guns..you may win also.
My question is HOW CAN I GET EVEN WITH THEM?
