Has anyone seen ?

Gran Torino, looks to be pretty good, they say it is vintage Eastwood.

After looking at the synopsis online, it does look to be "vintage." I'm sure the R rating is due to language/probably some blood, but I'll bet it is a good one.
 
Wanted to when I was back in IL for Christmas, but it hadn't made it to that particular theatre yet. Probably a pretty expensive movie for the theatre to have. I can't wait to see it.
 
My nephew got a nice bootleg copy of it about 4 days ago. It's a great movie, funny, sterotypical of us white americans over say 40 or so. Good show but not a great movie. Lot of profanity aimed at mongs. I'd like to see one aimed at blacks and see if he could get away with it though. Beautiful car if you like fords.

Over 40? Clint plays a Korean war veteran (that kept his Garand) that adds almost 40 years to the math.

From what I've seen (and read from the whining "critics") it looks to have all the power points one would desire in an Eastwood movie.

Several people that have seen it think it's comparable to (in style) to John Wayne's "The Shootist". Playing his classic charactor in a time that it no longer fits.
 
Joe,I haven,t seen it yet, I discovered one of my old favorites at the liquor store Boones Farm strawberry hill went down good over the holidays.
