I was just wondering where a guy could get some manifold gskts for one of these old girls. The engine says its a Crysler industral engine. If anyone has any idea would you please e-mail me at [email protected] for I am not on here very often. Thanks

I got most of the parts I needed to rebuild the Chrysler 217 flathead engine in my Massey Harris 101 Super from Andy Bernbaum Auto Parts. He has lots of new-old-stock parts, and I thought his prices were very reasonable. He even had a 1938 vintage set of .060" pistons! Kanter Auto Parts sells new engine parts, and Roberts Motor Parts also has some. I have listed the link to Andy Bernbaum"s website below. Just do a Google search for the other two. They all have good websites.
Good Luck!

Have you tried a local NAPA or similar REAL auto parts store?

Almost certainly the gaskets are still available from Fel-Pro or Victor and if you can get the counterman to back away from the 'puter and grab a hard-copy catalog they should be able to help you,.

That would be great, I'll try NAPA or one of my other parts house. Never thought they would have them. Thanks

CarQuest number is MS18005

Intake/exhaust set
Napa should be able to cross that. It may also be the Victor number
as it say's Victor on the package.
Also I have been able to get most of the gaskets from CarQuest.

Can't lay my hands on my CO-OP notes, but they used at least two 6cyl Chrysler Industrials: the 217 I think was on #2 and a larger on #3.
Oops: did find one note;which, FWIW, says:
#2: Chry Ind 6 31/8x43/8 201cid
#3: Chry Ind 6 33/8x41/2 242cid
"postwar models: Chry Ind 6 , 230 and 250cid".
Those were very early notes and I didn't note source(s), so don't know if accurate.
Parts catalogs sometimes list unidentified Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler engines, but I'm told every CCptn engine has Industrial version(s).
Will see if I can locate those notes; sorry about muddying the waters. Whatever you have, gaskets should be available thru NAPA etc.
