This is a three point boom I made from parts of an old AC notill planter. The wheel lift is turned upside down and used to lift the boom which is the tongue off the planter. It works like you wouldn't believe.

What stops the 3 pt. arms from lifting up when a heavy load is lifted and the front tires coming off the ground? I don't know about an IH tractor but on a Massey, you can lift the 3 point arms by hand when there isn't an implement on the back. Even with the control in down postion. Dave

Looks like he can lift lighter loads & haul them around.

Heavier loads he can set the lift down on it's 2 legs, and swing the load up with the hyd cylinder. The weight of the load is on the 2 legs, and so the entire tractor would need to be lifted up, not just the front wheels. Of couse he can't drive around this way....

The 3pt would never want to raise upward, weight is always on the 3pt holding it down. It would want to pivot back & down, but the top link stops it from going back, and the legs keep it from going down, so it would need to flip the entire tractor over - front & rear tires, which can't be done without the thing breaking or hyd pressure running out. It never would put upward pressure on the 3pt, just pivot down & back....

If I understand your question right.

Can you explain your question better. There is nothing to stop the arms from coming up, it works just like any other 3pt hitch.
When you move your lever to raise the load you don't just take you hand off the lever and wait. You keep your hand on the lever in case something isn't right then you can lower the load just like any three point implement you would do that with.
There are some loads that make the front end light but I'm not sure I understand your questions.
As for the three point arms you can raise them by hand when they are in the down position and the tractor isn't running. This helps in hooking up to implements.
I know some John Deere tractors you can't lift them by hand.

The legs are on there so it has something to set on when not on the tractor. The lift is too heavy to move around by hand while hooking up to the tractor.

I thought maybe it was just me, but I did"nt quiet understand 135s question either. But it looks like a nice setup for a smaller tractor. I asume it allows you to pickup a heaveir load than you could normaly pickup with a tractor that size as long as you don't have to move it after you get it up.

I thought the stabilizer type legs were to hold the front end down like on a backhoe. Being that they are mounted on the 3 pt., they wouldn't have the same effect. 3 pt. arms usually aren't locked from moving up. If you pull a rear blade over a hill, the 3 pt. arms will float up and then go back down where they were. Dave

Nice looking unit. I just use a boom pole (actually part of the post hole digger) but it can't lift nearly as high.

The legs are just here for it to set on when not on the tractor. Even if a heavy load causes them to touch the ground the front of the tractor stops coming up when the legs touch the ground.
