Is it ok to reverse direction of radial tires? I want to put the front right on the left and the front left on the right.

Yes. Most owners manuals recomend moving rears to opposite side on front when you rotate your tires. Fronts usually go to the rear on the same side.

Lot of different opinions on this. Some tires have a direction marked on the sidewall. These, of course need to continue to rotate in the same direction. Some tire dealers will not cross rotate aggressive thread tires (offroad). I would consult tire manufacturerto be sure.

Yes.

Check your manual, it will have a diagram that shows to swap them from side to side as well as front to back.

In today"s sue happy society, I do not think the car manufacturers would be telling folks to do something that would cause their tires to explode.

Unless the tread is a directional one, you won't have any problems doing it. Look on the sidewall of the tire. If it has an arrow pointing in the direction of rotation they can't be switched side-to-side. You won't see this unless you've got some premium performance tires.

Thanks, didn't think about the owners manual. Just looked and it's ok to reverse direction, they're regular tread tires. Happy New Year everyone.

You might want to make sure the rims are not directional either. It won't matter in terms of wear or traction, but it does look silly.
