Salute to the Farmers

You have to remember if farmers don't control the pests in their fields whether it be bugs or weeds they won't have a crop to sell. They're protecting their investment.

If their fields are weedy they are considered just like the person who doesn't mow their lawn or keep the weeds out of their garden.

The farmers' fields are their lawn and garden just on a bigger scale.

Did you know that in almost every load of chemical sprayed their are some household chemicals in it????????

I guess almost all of you have used roundup to kill weeds. If so put an ounce of liguid dish water soap in 2 gallons of water and roundup. You'll get a better kill on those plants!!

If you use clean shower you're putting the same stuff in your shower as what the farmer is putting on his weeds to kill them. But clean shower smells good so it's okay to use?????

They taught us at a two day class for spray drivers that if you can smell any chemical you may as well inject it into your blood stream because that's where it's going if you smell it. That goes for any air freshner in your home or office. It smells good so we are pleased and calmed by that smell not knowing or caring if it is harming us.

I don't think I want to inject Clean Shower into the vain of my arm just because it smells good.

Tests have been done around Chicago where a certian group sprayed plain water close to subdivisions, so many people went to the hospital complaining of symptons they said were caused by the chemicals that were sprayed near their homes. It was plain water. The hospitals and doctor offices were tipped off a few days earlier about this test.

Many may think it's the chemicals causing so many of our problems. I don't know for sure but I do suspect it causes some. So many people blame the farm chemicals only because they see it being applied on the crops. But they don't see it being applied in food preparation or so on, that's all done indoors.

They already know that hi-power lines seem to cause lieukemia in young people who live near the power lines.

Just think of all the radio waves that are out there. There are signals out there for every cell phone in use. But only that one cell phone weeds out all the other signals and picks up on the one it needs to complete the call.

We are using way fewer chemicals today than we did in the 50's, 60's and 70's.

If things are in such bad shape, answer me this.
We have had this farm for over 100 years. In my dads early days, we had no deer, no turkey, no otters, no bald eagles, and almost no blue birds. Now these mentioned animals are running out our ears.

The farm is terraced and soil errosion is under control. When my dad was a kid there was a gulley right behind where my house is now. He said you could park a D-7 Cat in the gully and not see the top of it. They fixed that with terraces back in the late 60's.

The same doom and gloomers are the PETA and global warming hippies. They dont know crap about farming.

I don't do any farming, just gardening but I prefer organics. Don't use any chemicals or pesticides. I believe it's better for the soil in the long run. I'm opposed to pollution, worked in downtown LA in the 60s. I've seen enough smog. Everything the government gets a hold of, goes to the extreme though. Asbestos and lead has been a great thing for the politicians and lawyers. A lot more hype than fact. Pollution is a tool for the "have-nots" to control the "haves" and the politicians to control us all.
