4610 three pt. problems

I have a Ford 4610 and am having a problem with the three point. You can opperate the lift using the draft lever but the lever that is suppose to raise and lower the three point to whatever position you have the draft set at does nothing either up or down. Any Ideas. Thanks Steve

I"m not sure I understand your problem, but I hear you saying that the position/draft lever will raise your arms, but the quadrant lever does nothing. I had an 8600 Ford that the quadrant linkage lost a pin and the quadrant would not work. I simply had to replace a roll pin. The bad news was that it took a 1/2 day to get to the pin. Perhaps your linkage broke in such a position that shifting between position and draft causes the arms to move. Anyway try posting this on the Ford Forum. I"m sure you will get help there and, as you can see, there is not alot of tractor discussion on the Tractor Talk forum.

The linkage probably fell apart inside...
Pull the lift cover and have a look, put it back together, etc.
They're kind of a funny linkage and you'll probably have to play with it a bit to make sure it's functioning properly before you put the cover back in place.
Keep in mind that when you can't pull the right front corner of the cover up, you must reach in with a needle nose and push the supply stand pipe back down. It usually wants to come up with the cover and when it does, the cover can't clear the housing...
