My son told of traffic holdup on I35 in S MN where a semi was wrecked apparently hit field cult and an Oliver 4WD or MFWD was sitting nearby with ALL of its wheels off and tractor sitting on ground tilted. He was a SeaBee equip operator so I think his observation might be correct. But to have all 4 sets of wheels torn off? Anybody see the news of this about 2 weeks ago?

Didn't see anything about that, but I got run out onto the shoulder by an 18 wheel grain hauler on I-80 Thursday morning.

He was passing me. Now, when I have my cruise set on 78 in a 75 mph speed zone, I can't think of a single reason why anyone should be passing me, let alone a loaded 18 wheeler. Anyway, when the rear wheels of the trailer were beside my driver's door, he simply whipped back over into my lane. All I could do was lay on the brakes and head for the shoulder.

Truck drivers always talk incessantly about how an 18 wheeler can't stop or maneuver as easily as a passenger car, and they're right. So why do they always drive like they can?

Wow, that was as bad as pulling farm machinery on the interstate, two wrongs do make a big wrong! Any body injured?

Had a semi with an empty flatbed do that to me a few years ago. I headed for the shoulder, rolled it in a field. Trucker just kept a going. Car following was a trucker's wife - knew trucks, gave the cops a very good description of truck, but they never caught him. My insurance co would not cover my loss because they didn't have a cuplrit.
