The "ice melt" liquid that they are putting on our roads here in western Washington has a weight of 11# per gallon which is comparable to CACL2 but is less corrosive. Would this be better in our tractor tires?

Maybe this is an option. 11# per gallon, good to -35, no rusting, biodegradable, doesn't contaminate the ground. Maybe an AG tire dealer near you might handle it and can get you a quote on pricing.

Rimguard is the same base product with some additives. It tends to foam up when moved or pumped. I have been selling it for 3 years and it is getting more popular right along. Call the number on the website and they will tell you where your nearest dealer is.
 
Did you inquire as to what 'ice melt' is? Probably a trademarked fancy name for calcium chloride...
Chances are, if it melts ice, it's corrosive.
