Who left the freezer door open

You guys really need to close the freezer door. While we get one light snow every 8 to 10 years it is never this early in the winter.

All the schools have closed; police are closing the major roads; and many will not even try to make it to work today.

And to think I was cutting grass at my dads house 50 miles south of here this past weekend because he has not even had a killing frost yet.

My sister and family used to live in Shreveport LA. I was always amazed at what they would just shut down the city. They are not prepared for salting or clearing of the roads-and it makes sense. How can you have millions of dollars of equipment just sitting waiting for that 10 year ice or snow storm. Greg

I can see how they would close the schools and roads if you are from Louisiana. It seems like anytime Oklahoma gets a snowfall like that, the whole state shuts down because people forget (I guess) what to do or how to drive in the snow. But for most winter storms, we are more concerned about ice.

What about freezing damage or the weight of snow breaking down the semi-tropical plant life?
During installation of water pipes etc. Is there any consideration of freezing or is it generally not a problem?

Obviously those proposing the tax on cattle have ignored the 12 to one ratio of international scientists dissenting the theory of global warming.

Ok, now that is a snow storm. Let me know if you want any more, The city has a nice pile forming on the edge of town, and thats just from main street.

People usually just let their water drip when the temperature drops enough just to make sure because it is generally not a problem. I may have to drip my water 3 nights a year. In fact it is only 33 deg right now.
The thing I am worried about now is the electricity. Tree branches in the pine trees are starting to snap.

The sugar cane farmers are not going to like this. They will not finish harvest for 3 or 4 more weeks so still a lot of cane in the fields.

Sure glad I do not live up north if you call this flurries. 7" so far in about 4 hours and still coming down.

Tuesday afternoon it was 90 here. Today, we might reach 75 but I´m not complaining. In nine years, the coldest it´s been here is 58 and that was in February this year. Going to northwest Texas and Eastern NM for Christmas, so I will get a chance to enjoy the cold and wind.

Your out of the flurrie catagory for here in SWMN now. Hope you have a loader or a blade for your ford. Looks like you good be busy for a while. Good reson for som seat time.

No need to start the tractor and plow the drive unless I plow the road also.
Weather guessers are calling for 58 deg tomorrow so it will not last.

I am on the very southern edge of the snow. Should change over to sleet or rain as the afternoon goes on.

New Orleans (50 miles south of me) only has a light dusting of snow on the grass and it has already changed over to rain with some sleet mixed in down there.

You're getting snow and we're getting rain, couple days ago the morning low was around zero, then they turned the heat on, back to 50+ deg F, now back to 30's, sleet and rain, always erratic this time of year lately, can remember frost getting in ground in November and not leaving until late March, early April.

You people south of us probably should dig out some woolies. According to the weather people we have a cold front coming this weekend. That's 15 to 20 below zero and windy. Maybe it will go easterly instead of southerly and miss down there. This is in north central No. Dak.

Ha! I can see that that's a paint stirring stick that you cut in two. You're probably out there now taking the cover off that 801s precleaner so that you can take a picture of it in the snow and tell us thats all you can see!! Ha Ha

The tree huggers say we have global warming. That snow must be a figment of your imagination. So far for the month of December the NWS at Moline is coming in at 8.6 degrees below normal. But if Al Gore says we have global warming the below normal temps don't exist, right? If any of you have ever listened to Neal Boortz, he has discussed this in the past. Seems a lot of the temp reporting stations are in places that get a lot of artificial heat, such as at the end of jet taxiways and the like. DOUG

Global warming is comming from all the hot air put out by the poloticians, not to mention the methane produced by their personalities.

Should tax the polotician, but it would only be pushed off on someone with a job
