did you by chance go to the auction couple weeks ago over in grand ridge? about 1 mile west of town? jd g there went for 11,500. i picked up a set of peterson bolt on duals for one of my m's, good rims good tires for 10 dollars. every go up to the consignment sale in morris in february at the grundy county fairgrounds?

No Glennster, I didn't make that sale but I did go up to northwest of Rockford over the Thanksgiving weekend to pickup a pair of Oliver cast rims and wheels. Other than that, been too busy at work - guess I shouldn't spend so much time on the computer!

PS: I'm looking for a good pair of 15.5 X 38 tires if you happen to see some. Prefer Firestone but don't mind Armstrong. South of I-80 Preferably. Of course, I would take 14.9 X 38 if they happened to come up!

i'll keep my eyes out for you. i been finding its cheaper to buy duals at auctions (long as they arent yellow) and use those tires than to buy loose tires. got a nice set of 18.4 34's for 55 dollars at the morris sale 2 yrs ago, 10 dollars for the 13.6 38's at grand ridge sale.

Did you see the 4020 duals sell, was close to $600 for 40+ year lod tires. I was combinig corn about 6 miles from there that day and took off a couple of hours to watch.

was that the set that had the 8 and 9 bolt hubs? jd"s. when i went the next day to pick up my duals, i met the guy that bought that set. turns out he was the uncle to one of my best friends in grade school. he lives over near plainfield. has quite a collection of old iron, quite a few deeres. and a #18 jd one row picker. never seen one of them before.
