Everytime I turn on computer I get messages about this. I key for download, they say system cannot support it. Is my computer obsolete? I know it is but can I still use it somehow. IBM thinkpad with windows 95. I can 't even look at Ebay without this Adobe problem. Thanks again all you wonderful people. p.s. using telephone line and guess you call it dial up.

most likely windows 95 cant support adobe flash player.

you are going to have to look for an old flash player that supports windows 95. i tried looking and coudlnt find one. maybe someone else can locate one.

I have Adobe Flash Player #6.. I get these
messages all the time, to download a newer
version..# 7.1 or something, when I try it,
the message says that my system won"t support
that version. I have Windows 98, and it"s
good for all of my needs.

Look at Adobe.com or free software sites for older versions like 6 mentioned. Should be another link or box that tells what they are compatible with.

I used Windows 95 for many years and after a hard drive crash moved up to Win 98. it was a great improvement which I would probably still be using today if my computer hadn't had a registry failure and took all of the reserve registries with it.

I now have Vista and like it as well as Win98. Haven't found all of the grips that other people do and we've come a long way from the old MS-DOS systems so I don't complain.

For reading PDFs give Foxit a try. Takes less resources, is much faster, allows smooth scrolling, etc.

Hi dave,

For less than $500, you can get a new Toshiba laptop W/Vista Premium that will run 10x faster on dial-up, (new code).

Only do Ms-Defender updates, NO others, and Vista will not give you any problems.

There's a 1000% improvement from Win95/Win98, to XP, and a 100% difference from XP to Vista.

On-line banking alone is worth the Vista upgrade. I keep my files on a external HDD with a on/off switch for 100% security.
