Kawasaki mule engine substitution

We just opened up the engine on a kawasaki mule 2500 that is trashed.Are there other engines like Briggs etc that build a direct replacement? Its a nice machine but the motor is destroyed internally. Open to ideas.

I may like the trash for parts on one I am trying to get that is running hot not sure about a replacement eng. or even what type of drive system it has

OW!!How was the engine trashed?I had a 2002 3010 mule that had quite a few hurs on it with no problems.My good friend has a 2510 mule with over 2000 hours on the clock with no engine problems.coobie

I saw one with a street bike engine shoe horned in, 600 cc I think? Also saw a video of one with a 1000 cc snowmobile engine.

i have a 1998 2510 with the diesel engine with 5400 hrs on it bought it used about a year ago came with a heated cab actual hyd lift bed stereo wiper blade and the thing litterally runs forever on a tank of fuel. so far so good. RICK
