Combine camera

Anyone using one of those cameras so you can see when unloading the auger and maybe even behind you when the auger is tucked back in.

Thinking about getting one for the neighbor I work for part time.

Any pros or cons on certain brands?

Randy

Neighbor installed one on the auger of grain buggy this year...works great. They went w/ the model sold by John Deere (Case IH is exactly the same, he said). Larger field of view then the cheapies available from the auto stores. Can handle up to 3 different cameras w/ the same monitor. Even works in the dark as the camera has its own infrared light.

Randy- They are called cabcams and yes I bought one. I got the wireless at first but was REALY unhappy because of the pictue was always distorted. Went back to the dealer and called the tech. people and traded for the wire type. Was real satified with it. I have it on the grain cart and put 2 cams on- 1 behind to see what the trafic was like and 1 on the auger. I think it was money very well spent for safty first then satifaction. Bill

Yes. I've got one on the 750 Massey. Just love it. Don't have the moniter on the chopper since I replaced bearing so this lets me see if trash is coming out back of combine as well as make sure I don't back into something. With the infrared you can see just as good after dark as by daylight. Best money I ever spent.

Putting one on the back of a grain cart is a great idea. Been running a 1000 bushel Brent lately and it's like a big whale back there. Had to load trucks on the road last friday and couldn't tell if a car was behind me when I backed away from the truck.

Last spring the owner was backing this cart away from the truck and backed into his pickup. He had insurance. Jim
