Here is the chart of my wages from 1998 to present.

FLAT LINED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here in Ohio I guess I'm just lucky to even get a paycheck. May not for long though ?

where do you live?
Over here in Youngstown, we've got GM Lordstown, YSU and the hospitals as the biggest employers. Looks like Cleveland, Columbus and Cinci are the best for jobs all around

New coal to liquid plant in Wellsville should spark some industry though

Wooster , Everyone around here packed up and moved off. LUK is even cutting clear back with the auto slow down. The clutch production have all been sent to Mexico they just do torque converters now.

Can't remember any Pres that could keep all of what he would spout during a campaign, as long as it would put them in the big chair

That goes for PaCain too!

if it makes you feel any better, i just bought 100 shares of GM and 100 of good year, 3.06 for gm..... gt 5 dollars and change.ps: first time i ever bought any stocks(55 yrs old)

Pf, me and you hope GM stays around. Bought mine when Kirkorian did(he makes no mistakes, right)Not this time.

That is a politician's job, "tell who you are talking to what they want to hear." Get elected and do what the palm greasers and lobbists want.

what would happen if they made the car companies reduce models, since 90% of then look alike anyway [ im a truck guy] why not produce a moderatly trimed compact model, a fullsize model standard and deluxe trim, like they did back is say the '50's and for trucks how about 1 small model available in 2 wd or 4x4, and a full size model available in 2wd or 4x4 all these would be moderatly trimed and in 'heavy half ton' capacity, then eliminate the 3/4 ton altogeather since theres very little difference in them and a 1 ton anyway, then for the one tons, sell them in the show room as a chassis cab, 2wd or 4x4, dually only, a modular section of the frame would allow customer to order wheelbase needed for his application, factory bed available or bed supplied by aftermarket manufacture, for those of us that need a truck to work like a truck, i think there would be a boom of aftermarket companies [jobs offered for layed off factory employees first] for people wanting to customise these vehicles, these could be started up before the actual layoffs to reduce or eliminate unemployment of factory workers, in other words factory supplies a good usable vehicle, customer makes it to his taste, would this save the big 3?

Kind of the way it used to be, I like this model but would like ONLY these options. At least Chevy used to have Biscayne(base/few options), Belair(few more standard options), Impala(pretty loaded).
