Wonderful! I've been told goats generally have two. Is this true?

Like the little spot on the knee of the one with the dark head.

The only baby I ever saw that did not make me smile was a baby buzzard. Boy was it ugly! Wish I had taken a picture.

Few things as precious as a baby, no matter the species. I was in the commercial cattle business for a long time; had umpteen thousand babies born; first glimpse of every, single one was always special.

Yes Nancy, two kids is the norm but sometimes they have just one or even three or more. When they have more than two, there is always a runt and it must be bottle fed as Mom only has to faucets.

A buzzard baby? Eeeewwwwwwww!

Dave, it's really never too early or late for goats. I'm in far South Texas near the Mexico border so other than hurricanes, weather isn't much of an issue. Unlike cattle, goats can give birth twice a year. This is the first time for this momma.

Thanks for the pics. I went hunting once near Juno TX just north of Del Rio. Most goats I've ever seen in my life. In what area of the border are you?

Had a neighbor wit a Nubian doe come to me for help with a doe that was kidding. Ended up delivering five Kids. Two or three they take care of birthing alright anymore and it is like a bowl of noddles. gitrib
