I got a couple of my friends over today and we got most of the B back together, and it sure feels good having something go according to plan for once-except

Theres an issue with Nebraska Kirk's mag rebuild-it doesnt work. It just spins-it never fires and most of the time just clicks instead of snaps. Its a harvester H4. Anyone have any ideas???

I have a seen several mags that all you need to do is tap on the side of the mag to jar the impulse. Some have to be smacked rather hard, but not hard enough to break the housing. Often this is a full fix by doing it several times. Then it cleans itself up. I do this often right on the tractor with the crank.

Well you may just have 2 junk mags now as you NEVER EVER want to clamp them in a vise by the body as it will squeese the housing making the armature drag.

And like the other fellow said most won't impluse right upside down because this throws the weights off in the impulse coupling.

Another helpful hint don't leave that one just setting on that tire as it will fall and break. Even though the one ear is gone the cap and other parts may still be good. That ear could be welded back on, but mag. will need to come apart for this.

I like the fact that you video so that we can see your progress and not just type up some words it sure helps us to know how and what you are doing. One thing decide what you might want to do later and get the school thing taken care of soon after high school I just got laid off and decided to try and go back to school and it is gonna require more time than I have to go and have a job. I have unemployment but that only last about 6 months and the associates degree takes 2 years full time. Now I don't know what to do.

In this state, if you are retraining by going to community college, they'll extend unemployment benefits for the duration. Had a neighbor who did that- got laid off from his job driving truck for a wholesale grocery outfit when the company building burned and they ceased operations. Continued on unemployment for 2 years while he got an Associates degree in environmental science. Then found he didn't have a snowball's chance of getting a job in the field, because he was competing with guys with bachelors, masters and even doctorate degrees. So went back to driving truck. Had a nice time going to college, though. Recommend that you retrain in some field where the associate's degree is as high as you can go- civil engineering technician, diesel technician, etc.- instead of an academic field where others have higher degrees.

there have been a couple openings locally that have been there for about a month or 2 and when I applied they said my experience was not enough I needed the associates degree
