Dad says it was a pretty good blizzard, near zero visibility during the worst of it. Some of the roads ended up being blocked from drifting snow, and of course the rain before the snow made it sloppy underneath. Luckily enough the power stayed on during the whole thing - flickered quite a bit, but stayed on.
Some of the cattle and horses were still out in the pasture and rode the storm out there, the next day the horses led the cattle home.
The morning after they managed to get the four-wheeler (Polaris 500 4x4) and pickup stuck. He is quite appreciative of the JD 4450 MFWD and 740 classic loader the last few days. Once they got the snowblower dug out it was easy to make some trails.
Somewhere around 12 inches or so at the farm, I think. Nothing like they had in Rapid City, SD - but enough to get people in the winter spirit!
