After I left Attu I went to engineman school in Groton then to the CGCutter Kukui. It serviced most of the LORAN stations in the Pacific. Out of my four years I had 3yrs 6mos & 5 days of isolated or sea duty. I got to see a lot

While in the Navy, I had a chance to visit Adak in 68. I could have shipped over to make 2nd class. Next duty station was Adak, I said no thanks. I was with a P3 squadron. Stan
